UPSC conduct civil services exam for recruitment of the candidates for IAS services in India every year. This exam is conducted in three stages that are prelims, mains and interview. The civil services eligibility criteria 2019 say that the exam can be given by the citizens of India having a graduation degree or equivalent to that from recognized college or university. The applicant must be between 21 years to 32 years in age if he or she belongs to general category. Other categories like ST, SC and differently abled people are given some relaxation in the age. The number of attempts for general candidates must not exceed to that of 6 and other category may have 9 to unlimited attempts as per the relaxation given by UPSC.
The civil services official notification for UPSC prelims 2019 generally comes in February in which students can apply for the IAS prelims exam. The exam is conducted in the first week of the month June. The mains exam then conducted from October to December and those qualify mains are finally asked to appear for the interview on their given dates from February to March.
